In the three years I've had my 2006 2.9 CRDI Terracan with Auto Trans, it would not accelerate (get going from a stop) when cold in higher elevations, like at 8,000 ft. And I never felt a good boost of power. On a recent drive from sea level to high altitude, there were about four times (but not all) when a definite surge of power came on at about 3,700 RPM and ran up to about 4,400. Normally for my car, it will not accelerate past 3,700 RPM. Do any of you have an idea of how to fix this problem? Thanks, Ron

could be a boost leak on the intake...or even an exhaust leak before the compressor (less likely). also a wastegate jammed open is another option.

any check engine light on or is ecuador another country without that 'option'?
