The car has been working fine until today when all of a sudden it won't go above 3000 rpm in any gear. If you try to continue accellerating it feels like the engine is only firing on a couple of cylinders.

My Jag has a feature called "limp home mode" that feels very similar, but it is for problems with the car's computer controls. I rather doubt that the Hyundai has such a feature, but that's what it feel like.

I don't know of any vehicle manufacturer that does not use limp mode.
Need to scan all modules.

Ye mine started doing that to, I have a IAT sensor fault coming up on diagnostic, had it replaced and no joy, anyone else had this problem
