Well after having the pleasure of owning two i10's I fancied a change and picked up my new Chevy Spark today - Got a great deal with the dealer being a Hyundia/Chevrolet franchise.

I know alot of owners on here have had their fair share of problems which have spoiled your enjoyment of what is basically a very good car - I really hope you get them sorted. Luckily I haven't had any problems and really enjoyed the i10.

Who knows I may even be back with a revised version in the future :57:

Nice to virtually meet you all

I can understand you jumping ship.....

I had bought the i10 Comfort in 2009 and it was fab - not a single problem at all. A wonderful new car - my first ever.

Managed to upgrade to i10 Style a few months ago, and while it didn't have the same impact of the Comfort - being my first ever new car, I am still loving the extra features - and again not a single problem.

I plan to keep the car at least 5 years...but unless the i10 has a decent revamp, I may be tempted to jump ship, as when you get a new / different car you do want something different - lots of new gadgets / toys to play with. I'm not sure where the i10 - can go - what extra can they give us? I don't much care about body design, and the engine is spot on for what I want.

But at the moment I still stop and look at my lovely car and feel chuffed, and love to drive it. And actually looking forward to winter - the Comfort handled superbly, and now I have heated seats too!

How do you top perfection????!!!

I have just done the same as you, and have found the style to be rather rubbish on the snow, i previously upgraded from an es to a comfort and the comfort was better, really cannot understand this as they are the same car, please let me know how you get on with your style.

Mine goes as well this week and I have to say it has been a bit of a disappointment.

Plus points are that it is a lovely little mover around town but that's about it.

Negatives,

Clutch action even without the judder (which came and went) I find very poor, really difficult to judge grab point and a notchy action.

Noisy fuel pump

Self adjusting headlamps. This really beggers belief that we have had to put up with these for so long without a guaranteed fix.

Poor paint finish (metallic black) it seems to scratch just by looking at it.

And last but not least the disappointing MPG. When you think that 20 years ago I was getting 45-50mpg out of a Passat 2.0 16V on a run and I struggle to get anything like 50 out of this little thing no matter how I drive it, some thing has to be off somewhere.

As I have said before lurking somewhere in this shell is a stonking little car but I am afraid Hyundai have done themselves no favours.

When I took it to the garage for valuation against the next car the sales guy said how many they have had in for PX, many returning back too their previous marque because they had been so disappointed with their new Hyundai i10's.

Skoda Yeti for those interested. I know it is a big jump but I have just got rid of my van as well so need a bit bigger vehicle.

Really wish you all well with your i10's

Regards

Tony
