Prospective buyer here. Can someone post actual measurements of the GT's trunk space, with seats folded down? Would like to know the length and width, not just the volume number you usually see quoted.

As a prospective buyer I would think that a visit to the official Hyundai website would provide virtually all the information that you could want or need for all the models in the line. You can spec out what you want to buy then get a retail price for it. Once finished with that you can shop for the best deals on the internet thru companies like cars.com and tru-car.com or any of the others out there.

Go into the dealer if this is what you're wanting to purchase. Tell the salesman you need to measure the inside. If you don't like him/her, need more time, or they're pressuring...just say you're not sure it's gonna be large enough (even if it is). And leave.

Even if you already know the dimensions, that's your OUT the door excuse in a poor negotiation process. ;)

Welcome to the forum, JuliusCat. Just went out to garage to get some dimensions for you. With the seats folded and the cargo cover removed here's what I got.

Depth- 55"
Width- 40" (between wheel wells)- 44" (max.)
Height- 28.5" (max.)

If you were to put big boxes back there the max. sizes would be about 43"x40"x28.5" or 50"x40"x22".

With the seats up and cargo cover in place you get about 40"(width)x17"(height)x28"(depth).

Of course the width between the rear doors is a bit more and there are a couple nooks in the back. These measurements are with the underfloor storage option, so you'd get a bit more height in the back without it. Hope this helps your decision.

Take some boxes with you. Tell the salesman they're full of cash, and you intend to buy a GT and take most of the money back home with you!

Cargo cover measurements needed please

Thanks for asking this.

What I need also is the exact measurements of the cargo cover, and to know how it is put into place. Does the large end caps push in? I wrote a manufacture and they gave me these measurements for the IX-35. 131.8cm x 111.2 cm Big end x Small end. These convert to 51.9" x 43.7".
