jack up the car, remove the road wheel, loosen the locking nut on the track rod, remove the nut on the track rod ball joint (and the split pin if fitted) break the ball joint seal where it fits into the hub assembly with a hammer or ball joint splitter, then unscrew the track rod end from the shaft. refitting is a reversal.

having said that if your not sure what you are doing its worth paying half an hours labour to your local garage as there can be pitfalls (ie siezed nuts etc)
