Car sat for a week while I replaced all (4) wheel hubs. Went to start the car and didn’t start. Battery died. Installed new battery car starts but goes to limp mode. Error codes all point to TPS sensor. Purchased sensor from Autozone. Error go away and car runs fine for a few days. Goes to limp mode again.
Install dealer TPS car doesn’t go into limp mode but RPM is ever so slightly erratic and still p0222

FYI the TPS sensor was replaced by the dealer in 2010. Also noticed light coating of oil on the throttle plate eventhough I clean it last week?

UGH no clue the error code is p0222 do I need a throttle body?

Im lost…

Need some advise...she old and beat up. 180K miles

If your having the same trouble code logged with 3 different TPS then I'd be looking at the wiring. The TPS signal wires in particular.

Used crc electrical cleaner on the connections of the tps and compressed air. I also removed the 2 orange o rings on the TPS to seat it better on the body to get a more accurate fit. Corrosion on the TB made it very difficult to install so considering I continued to get the error I removed them. So far so good no check engine light and no limp mode. Hopefully another problem free year ahead of me.

FYI I changed the plugs they were pretty nasty at 180Kmiles. I changed the OEM plugs at 90k miles.
