Ok.. wife is pushing.. I know it's "pre-wired" and I have the tranny cooler.. blah blah.. 3,000+ pounds... but I have a question... if the trailer has e-brakes, does the factory wiring have the ability to use them?

For those who don't look at the side panel.. 2008 Limited AWD.

Looking at at a 12+ ft pop up.

No, the factory trailer wiring does not include wiring for trailer brakes. You will have to install a brake controller and run the wires for the controller yourself (or pay to have it done). I have a Chalet a-frame trailer. Installed the hitch and controller myself. Works fine.

Ditto what azjerry says. And you definitely want the added brakes working with a 12-foot camper. My 10-foot Palomino is pushing the limit for unbraked towing (ie: 1600-1800 pounds depending on contents), and I guarantee that trying to stop a brakeless 12-footer on a downhill slope would have your butt cheeks clamping onto the upholstery for dear life.

****.. I was hoping it was pre-wired already so I didn't have to retro-fit. Thanks for the info guys.
