Hi folks,

My wife scratched my car while getting hers out of the garage :eek::rant2:, yes that was the look on my face when I saw the scratch. I was able to minimize the damage to a single 4 mm scratch with a 10 min buff using my power angle polisher and some 3m rubbing compound. However I dont want to bring the car to a paint shop for that.

I was wondering if any of you guys has ever used one of those touch up paint kits.

I found this one Automotive Touch-Up Jar (NKA - Black Noir Pearl Clearcoat - 2012 Hyundai Veracruz) which matches my 2012 Santa Fe's NKA color code. The kit comes with all the stuff needed to do the job.

Has anyone else tried this brand or a different one? Any links and comments are appreciated.

Cheers,
Dan

The paint matching capability varies by brand, year, age of car etc. I tend to buy a few brands and try the matching capability in out of the way places before tackling the outside main panels.
If you have a deep scratch, have patience and apply very light coats and allow to dry for hours before the next application.
