Going the speed limit down a 35 mph 4 lane, 2-way road & suddenly there's a car right in front of me going left to right. I hit the brakes at the same moment I smacked his left rear passenger door. Here's the shocker: He had Insurance! I think 1 in 10 drivers in my state buy auto insurance. At least in my personal experience. Anyway my 2009 Accent GS was a good car. Never stranded me in 150,000 miles. Just 2 problems, some kind of sensor went out at 111 miles & was covered by the warranty. Then a temperature sensor for the transmission went out years later. Police report said he failed to yield. Turned left because he didn't see me. The guy said I was speeding & he told the cop. I asked them to look at my steering wheel. "Airbag deployed?" Uh....no. His insurance is giving me $2,200 for it. Renting a Hyundai Elantra until Friday. Nice car. Shifts when it's supposed to so I don't keep the pedal on the floor to stay with traffic.
