I've got an android car stereo and it has the Torque pro app installed. I can get a number of sensor readings as it sits now - fuel levels, coolant temp, speed, but what I'd also like is an indication of what gear it's in. I don't see that is available straight out of the box but looks like I need a plug-in to make it work. I've found a couple - but looks like they're from the same developer and are no longer updated. Has anyone used either of these? It appears as if you can add your own custom PID to read the information I'm after, just don't have the details.

Thank you for the replies so far. It doesn't appear as either of you are using it with a Santa Fe, correct? Does anyone have this and/or use it for the Santa Fe? I'm curious what other sensors it allows access to. Transmission temp, etc?

Yes I use that app on our santa fe.
I mainly got it because it shows trans temp.
The hyundai app and torque do not show 3.5 litre engine but it works if you select the 3.3 litre.
