Finally purchased one after all these, years, like this one.



Motorhome takes forever to fill those tires, six of them, long time on my knees.

It didn't work so went back to my old hand held chuck.

You can see that knurled nut, loosened that, a brass plunger fell out with a pin on it that is suppose to depress the Scharder valve. It was so wide could only go as far as the valve stem.

Put it in my machine lathe so it would fit inside of the valve stem, no it works beautifully, wonder what they were thinking when they designed it. Ha, wonder about this with a lot of stuff you buy today.

When I drove heavy equipment and Class A vehicles, the fuel island at our yard had locking air chucks.
It was a good way to fill the tire and be able to get away from the tire/wheel assembly so you wouldn't be right there if the tire decided to violently come apart while being filled.
