Hi guys,
I have an 04 Tibby GT V6 2.7 L engine.
Does the valve covers need to be removed to change the timing belt? Or is it possible to access it from the side of the motor?

Thanks in advance.

Add to question in previous post. Does the motor oil need to be emptied out on a 2.7 L engine to change the timing belt?

Valve cover stays on and engine oil doesn’t have to be changed.
Front motor mount comes off and engine supported from underneath.

Consider changing crank position sensor while doing belt, common failure item and part not expensive.

Bolt on crank pulley needs an impact gun normally very tight around 175 ft pounds.
