New guy on the block. Need to hit you with my question. I have a 2006 Sonata with 120k miles and need to replace the radiator hoses, per service personnel. They also mentioned I should replace the thermostat. Is that really necessary?

Hello CraigV10,

As far as your thermostat, I would change it out, might as well since you have the coolent level low already. Here is a trick or safety precaution before you install the new one. Boil some water in a pot and place the new thermostat in it, if it opens up, it is good. If not then go and get another one because it is bad. Do this before and you will save yourself a ton of work and money. Good luck
