One photo is of the XM Antenna - showing the red/blue flakes that make up Black Plum. The other photo is of the underside of the trunklid, where the flash shows more of the true color. On the road, it looks like black with dark plum/eggplant highlights. My wife loves purple/violet, so that was the color she wanted.
Oh, and in the interest of not hijacking this thread, let me say congrats to the OP for the solution to the issue, and I too am happy to have found such a wonderful resource for information on my new Sonata.
I have the GLS in Black Plum pearl. I will post a few close-ups to show the color. The Black Plum and Pacific Blue tend to look black, and the paint picks up so much of the surrounding colors (blue sky, green grass, etc) that you can't easily see (or photograph) the actual color.MysoUL...To my knowledge, you are the first and only Black Plum driving the the streets of this forum. PLEASE post some pictures.![]()
