Hi all,

Just picked a 2016 Elantra GT MT. Love it so far. This is my first Hyundai.
When I start my car in the morning the Temp gauge is wacky and displays that it is hot with missing indicator lines. I may not be describing properly so I attached a pic.

After 5 to 10 minutes the read out is normal.

Also, there are some other partially lit sections on the gauge that go away after 5 to 10 minutes... you can see in the pic.

Is this normal? I don't expect it should be.

nope.. not normal.
I guess the Dealer can probably fix with a ECU revision/ update.

Maybe one of the tech guys here can offer a reason why.

Could be a firmware issue, or possible a connection issue between the logic board and the display board. Sometimes those are combined on one assembly, sometimes separate assemblies. Dealer would have to check it either way.
