So I'm new to the Hyundai world. Got my Elantra with 12 miles on it. Now at 31,000 lol anyways ive been wanting to get coilovers but they are really pricey since they are reletavley still new. I was wondering if the suspension changed at all between the 16 (MD) AND 17 (AD) or are they the same? Just a curiosity question that I've googled time and time again and found nothing. Also looked thru threads but came up with nothing. If anyone has any insight on this I'd be very appreciative ☺

According to MotorTrend, the suspension did change with the AD platform-

"Extensive Chassis and Suspension Revisions
For 2017, the Elantra continues to feature a torsion beam rear and McPherson strut front suspension with coil springs and gas shocks. Extensive changes have been made, especially to the rear, where the suspension geometry, shock absorber angle, and coil spring position have been changed for better stability, ride, and handling. Additionally, the rear bushing diameter has been increased for better long-term durability."
