Hi all,

So I've moved away from my old 2006 Tucson and purchased a 2011 i40.
Some little issues, there's an AFLS warning light on and the sub roof won't close.
Has anyone had problems with the sunroof on these and how did you fix it?
It will open okay, but when I try to close it it will get about half way sounding like it's struggling then stop.
I see a lot of comments online but no fixes.
Any help appreciated
Thanks

I have same issues with my 2011 i40. I was advised by a car mechanic that the sunroof mechanism needs lubrication!

Hi Mng,

Thanks for the reply.
I've got it working again after speaking with hyundai they said it would be a full headliner removal to investigate. (€€€€)
So I got some kitchen paper on a long wire and wiped the rails down and covered in WD40, cleaned it down some more and then sprayed on some grease. It's working great now.
Try it on your and see how you get on.
