Hi All
I have a two year old current model Santa Fe Premium SE which I've owned for 18 months and has covered 9000 miles.
Since I've owned it The Stop Start function has hardly ever worked. I mentioned this to the dealership on the first service and again this week on the second service. I have been told that it's not working because the battery is only 80% charged. I'm not into electrics but asked why, even after a 30 mile journey the battery isn't up to full charge. It was explained that there was a cut off monitoring system that keeps the battery at about 80% to help save fuel and the only way to fully charge the battery is to do it with a charger This sounds ridiculous if you have to keep charging a battery this way to get something to work.
Any thoughts please.
