Hey Guys,

Found this online Advanced Keys - AK-104B Smart Key with Push Start System and I am planning on putting this in the sonata but it requires me to remove the steering wheel lock.
In my old mazda all I had to do was pull the wheel, find the pin, tap it out and put the wheel back on.

Are the sonata's built the same?

Can I ruin anything on this delicate korean car doing this?

They're anywhere from a little to completely different from brand to brand and even from year to year. Whenever I see "Suitable for any vehicle" I read "Fabrication and/or adaptation needed." YMMV, void where prohibited.

Well of course you CAN.....if you don't do things right. ;)

Kind of an expensive accessory to be adding to a 7-8 year old car, I think.

AND experience tells me that the installation process will NOT be easy or simple.

This is beyond your skill level. Find a shop to install it for you!
I wired my autopage with remote start no problems. I am only asking if it is a difficult process to remove the steering wheel pin lock. I'll dig out my wheel puller and give it a try when the weather cools down.
