Hi.....

I have a simular problem, the idling goes up and down when i´m below 2000 rmp.
And when the engine is warm, sometimes it just dies.
I can see that if i have the same problem as you others it may be a sensor, but how do you find the right one?
Help me, please.
But I must also say that this is my first problem with this car in 4 years and its the best car I ever had :D

These cars have a Carmen Vortex type Air Flow meter which failed quite often.
Do you have the means to take the vehicle to have it code checked?

good cars last past 340,000 KM, like my sonata 95' m/t 2.0efi 16v! although i bought it second hand. bad things with hyundai ( i personally observe), cheap plastic interiors, weak door handle springs and debatable, poor engine support design/quality... but over-all, i think it's a better car...

owem,
have the stepper motor (idle servo) resistance checked, and do the flicker test on the harness connector of the stepper motor if the resistance is too low.
