Hello all,

Just wondering if you can give me some advice on my Sonata diesel engine, it has been going into limp mode under high load or heavy acceleration.
The fault clears again after turning off the engine and restarting it.

I captured the fault code as below:

"P1186 $07E8 Minimum pressure at engine speed too low"

Some say it could be the fuel pressure sensor or regulator, is there way to test these components and narrow it down to confirm which item to replace?

Thank you

It could be lots of things. Including a dirty fuel filter. When did you last have that replaced?

If I helped you fix it, why not...

Your support is greatly appreciated
