Hi everyone,
I have just purchased a X2 Excel to fix up for my son for his first car. One thing I have noticed is an extremely sloppy gear change mechanism inside the car. What can I do to fix this, or is it possible to adapt one out of another make, like mitsubishi??

bought a 97 excel for spare engine and bits for my buggy noticed its got sloppy shifter my buggy is fine so will sus it out when I pull it down and get back to you.

I have just done this on my sons 1992 excel. All the plastic bushings in the gearshift mechanism had disintergrated. ( six shaft bushings and one on the end of the selector)They were still available from hyundai and only a couple of bucks each. I have tried to attach a document with a picture but not sure if it will work. Made a big difference for half an hours work.
