Hi folks,
I am looking for an affordable suv with 3rd row and come up to a 2008 santa fe 3.3 V6 FWD 105K. What should I check more closely while inspection? I am interested to know if there are any known issues or problems with this vehicle that need close attention and also the typical gas mileage, power etc. I like to know from previous owners what their recommendation on buying this used santa fe.

Thanks in advance.

I have one, but not with the 3rd row seats.

Check for an oil leak on the valve cover and if it hasn't been repaired look at the alternator for oil that may have dripped in. I would think at that mileage, the repair has been done.
Link kits were a weak area, just did my struts, also, the cover on the timing chain, it will most likely leak eventually. Mine is starting to sweat.

Steering rack was replaced under warranty. I have just over 160kms on mine which is over 100k miles. I would buy one again.

They're a reliable year as is 2009 the last of the series. AWD is a good choice if you're in the snow belt.
