Hi All,

I arrived here after searching for info. on the sat nav options available on the 2010 Sante Fe I have on order.

I've read through this thread/sticky - "Replacement Dvd/gps/tv/bluetooth Unit" (OP Glospete) which contains a wealth of information but I'd be grateful for any further advice you could offer.

There are 3 options for the stock sat nav - one at £500, and two both around £1000

- are they that bad or not value for money that people don't have them but instead fit their own choice later on?
Would you recommend I stick with the basic entertainment system and then have a system fitted later (don't have the knowledge to do so myself but know of a good, local retailer).

@Glospete (if you don't mind) - we have the same model SF on order - have you gone for a stock Sat nav system this time?

Thanks,

Go with aftermarket units. I have pioneer z110bt which i installed myself( first ever touching wires in car but read 10 times before doing it) Absolutely love it. Not to say clarion is bad or anything but aftermarket unit will allow you more flexibility in terms of bypass for VIM or changing address for guidance. In us stock units are PITA in those terms because of silly laws.

I have just noticed this topic string but thought i should mention the Clarion NX700E which came factory fitted to my 2010 SF. Its a great piece of kit which I would highly recommend if you want everything (Tuner/ CD/ DVD (with rear control) SAT NAV/ AUX/ full Iphone and Ipod control on screen and bluetooth telephone with contacts list displayed on screen) all in one package.
