Hi there, I recently bought a 2007 diesel santa fe and sice buying it have had all sorts of problems, which I guess is down to lack of servicing. The heater has never worked and I have had the thermostat changed and at one point the garage installed a supplementary water pump but still not working. They said that one pipe from the heater core was cold and one hot but I have just been and checked and both are hot. Can anyone please help? Thanks,

Assuming you have hot water flowing though the heater core and there is no air in the cooling system, then I would guess a blend door problem that directs the airflow under the dash. It may be stuck in a position to bypass the heater core.

Do you have AC? And if you do is it working?

Modern diesel engines are highly efficient and there is very little waste heat from the engine available to heat the car interior. So diesels often have an electric auxiliary heater. Did the garage check that the auxiliary heater is working?
