I have a 2013 hyundia Elantra 1.8 liter. I just was curious if the Elantra normally runs a little hot. It just seems like the cooling fan is always on. I can drive 7 miles up to virgal put it in park and the fan comes on.
We also have a 2017 hyundia sonata I can take the same drive and it doesn't come on. Actually I've only heard the fan come on once since I've owned it.now I do mostly city driving so it's allot of stop and go. Could that be why

Not necessarily engine running hot, the sensor for the fan could be a little off or just designed that way. Many, many years ago had a Ford Fiesta and engine temp was fine, but from day one, the fan would come on when riding down the high when temp normal...........annoying.
