Bad day today. Had just gotten off work, and was heading home. On the off ramp from highway ... guy in front of my slams on the brake, I’m guessing for a deer to dark to tell. So to try and not rear end him I️ moved to the next lane. No sooner, My baby spin out and slammed into a guard rail. -_-

Praying my insurance covers this, I’m a college student and can barely afford food let alone another car. I️ paid this baby off in full with my savings I️ started when I️ was 7.

And who says kids these days don't put their money towards things?

Bummer, but at least you're here to tell us about it! ;)

Where you at where you got snow so bad? In my section of Mass we barely have 2" after snowing since noon.

This happened in Columbia,MD. Been snowing all day. But not a lot of accumulation. But the temperature dropped from 32 to 27 and things became slippery.

Yah I’m grateful to be unharmed.

As long as the airbags didn't deploy it looks fixable to me.

They did not deploy. Though the engine wouldn’t turn over.

Looks like a lot of plastic. If the metal pieces are intact and do not require repair you could be "OK". However plastic stuff isn't cheap either. Very curious to see what the quoted bill is.

That's the main reason they advise to not swerve. Glad you are ok. Car looks to be fixable and as long as you have full coverage, your insurance should cover it. Minus your deductible.

If we are looking at all the damage you may be okay. Plastic skins and a grill, probably lower lights. If the rest of the car is in good shape and miles aren't through the roof you could just be out the deductible.

Glad you are okay. Our daughter was in a wreck earlier this semester. She's fine, her near pristine '06 Elantra was not.

Fuel gets cut off for safety reasons on hard impact? Our 2015 would not start after getting slammed around in an accident.

Is the rear damaged or is the rear door just opened normally?

You are wise for saving your money and paying it off, and good to hear the you are safe!

*****UPDATE******

Insurance Coded my baby as Totaled (Repair Expenses exceeded vehicle value).

Looking at the Hyundai Veloster.... I've always wanted a Manual Transmission.
Not a big fan of the 3 doors... -_-

Try a Mazda, then tend to have a sporty well tuned suspension.

Congrats!

They're not a bad car, a little under-powered for what they are supposed to be.

If you plan on modding stay far far far away from Tork....

BTW Lap 3 has a tune available

Nice. Neat car. I've always liked the look.

Now, if they'd stuff a 2.4l in there, perhaps with a turbo to boot...;)

Definitely would make this car more popular. I‎t is a little weak performance wise. But I’m still content.
