Resetting Service Indicator W/o Special Equipment

Have anyone tried this? Is this also applicable on terracan?

Service indicator can be reset WITHOUT any special equiptment.

1. Turn off ignition
2. Press and hold trip reset button next to speedo
3. Turn on ignition (II). A counter will no count down from ten to zero. once reached zero, release trip reset button.
4. Switch ignition off and back on again (II). Indicator is now reset

Items Needed:
None
Install Time: 5 minutes Difficulty Level:1

Directions:
Step 1
Insert Key (do not turn it)
Step 2
Press and hold the Trip-Meter Reset Button.
Step 3
While holding the reset button, start your car and continue holding the button.
Step 4
Within 10 seconds, the display should change to "test" (written in a silly LCD font) and the needles will go nuts. Release the Button.
Step 5
Pressing the button will now cycle through some 15 different modes or more.
Breakdown of some of the functions:
1 Press - Shows a Gauge Sweep
2 Presses - Shows all 8's on the LCD (LCD TEST)
3 Presses - Illuminates all the bulbs on the dash
6 Presses - Shows DTC Troubleshooting Codes
7 Presses - DIGITAL SPEEDOMETER - MPH
8 Presses - DIGITAL SPEEDOMETER - KPH
10 Presses - DIGITAL TACHOMETER

Haven't tried this. It seems this is only for Ford Focus vehicles.
