Took vehicle to the dealer to read check engine light code, Code P1777 – OPU Power Control Circuit Failure. Car is a little over 100,223 miles past the warranty. Cost 1,200 for dealer to fix and "no guarantees will be the only issue". Don't have 1200 laying around.

I have already replaced: DIY
Inhibitor switch
transmission oil pump
crankshift position sensor

(replaced these prior to getting a check engine light, as dealer could not replicate issue i was having with hard shifting & jerking and engine rev at highway speeds and loss of power)
Once all of the above was put in i finally got a check engine light took to the dealer to get the code & 1,200.

Going to buy a used OPU and install myself(bought one on ebay for $43. New one cost $750).

My question is: What scan tool can i purchase to reset/delete DTC code for a 2013 Hybrid? (Tried cheap scan tool at Advance Auto did'nt read)

Usually you can buy one of those dongles online and reset the code using an app on your phone.

If the problem still exists, the code will come back (and from my experiences, in about a week).
