The alternator died on my 2011 Veracruz limited. My father in law is a retired mechanic and changed the alternator today. Once everything was put back together, there is still no voltage going to the battery. Is there a code that must be put in? Any other suggestions why I wouldn't have any voltage?
Thanks!!!
Ps..I'm 1200 miles out of the warranty :(

Silly aftermarket alternators.. similar topic running around here where fella bought discount part and put it in,, ended up with OE dealer part and problem solved.

Alternator on LAMBDA is not one to want to do 2x,, too much work, and dirty-dirty-dirty due to left cam cover gasket leak oil out onto top of alternator and road dirt build up make for messy job

Correct not the funnest repair we do at the shop. We just use the factory alternator but what we see the most besides the oil leak causing failure is someone jumping it backwards and blowing the
alternator fuse. People replace the alternator and still no voltage because the fuse is blown.
