When I turn on the rear wiper there is a clicking sound that comes from the front dash. (click...click... ever time the wiper goes up/down)

I could have sworn I have never heard this noise before (and it is noticeable), but the dealer says it is the relay and it is normal.

I only bring this up because in the Ford I have as a rental while the Elantra is fix makes no noise when you use the rear wiper.

So guys (and gals) do your Elantra's make this noise ?

Switch tells BCM we want rear wiper..

BCM in turn sends on/off signal to relay module under dash above steer wheel column mounting to close relay for motor at rear to get power for sweep.

I also get that, and my dealer also said it's normal.

I thought it might be irritating in winter but between the louder snow tires, heat blowing full blast, and snow/rain/terrible roads I don't really hear it!

Thanks for the replies.

I was just not sure is all. I just never heard it do that before.
Perhaps I have my music too loud.
