Hello Everyone,

On our 2012 Sonata GLS, we had the rear shocks replaced with KYB's that came with new dust boots and bump stops.

Mechanic said install was simple and straight forward.

Since the work was done, when we go over bumps or in or out of driveways we hear this creaking sound that is pretty loud from the back seat.

Imagine sleeping on an old mattress or couch and you move and it just creaks like crazy, its like that.

I am not sure if its the springs, but the springs were not removed to do the job, so not sure why it would be those, but any help anyone would have to why this noise is happening?

Maybe a bushing or something needed to replaced that didn't come with the new shocks? Not sure, but its annoying, yet doesn't seem to be affecting how the car rides or handles.

Any Help would be much appreciated. Thank You.

I think there was a recall for the rear lower control arms...at least I know mine was done. You might want to see if you have any outstanding recalls, otherwise...check your bushings. :wink2:
