Hi everyone,

My wife has the 2001GLS model with Double Din stereo.

The rear speakers no longer work. Does any one know if there is a fuse in the back of the stereo system or somewhere else that might have blown?

Cheers, Chris

If both front speakers are OK, either it is wrong setting of the fader, or
a) both rear no sound, the rear power output are blown, (b) 1 working other not,, could be a loose wire connection.
Check this before doing anything else.

Hi Newtech,
It is definitely a). No sound from both speakers inthe rear so the rear power output is blown. is this a fuse or something easily replaceable?

It has nothing to do with the radio's fuse. If it is blown, the unit is dead at all.
Most probably you have to replace the unit. Aftermarket is not expensive these day. Don't even think of "repair".

Thanks for that Newtech,

It was too much to hope for something simple..

Off for shopping for double din unit to replace it with then. Any suggestions or hints from others who have replaced there double din unit before and anything to look out for?

Cheers, Chris

Get a palstic panel/trim removal tool from ebay (a few $), so that you can do it easily without scratching your trim.
