While having a rear flat tire fixed today the service guy pointed to the top of the shock and told me that the rubber bushing is missing, he isn't familiar with this type car but said I should look in to it.
I am posting the pics and asking for help about this matter.
The 2010 Santa Fe SE has 83k miles and still under the extended Warranty.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

If it's under an extended warranty, let them worry about it. That's the reason you have one.

I am not a shock expert. But today I serviced the rear brakes on my Santa Fe and I specifically had a look at the shocks. And honestly, except for a lot more rust and dirt on my own, I do not see any difference. Are you sure there is something missing?

The shock bush is not missing. Look closely and you can see the rubber dimples sticking out. It's just the design and looks like the bush is not there.
