I had to have rear driver's side tail light bulbs put in, the entire assembly was full of water.
Has anyone had this problem and what can be done to prevent water getting in there again?

Is the lamp assembly cracked ? Are the rings/gaskets on the sockets there and intact ?

Yeah, my Elantra tail light had a bad leak like that. The seams had separated where the housing meets the lens. Determine the source of your leak and seal it with silicone is my advice. How to determine the source? Take if off and fill it up with water. Where does the water pour out from?
