Same thing with my Sonata SE, heat related. Been in the 90's everyday for the past two weeks here in NOLA and when the car is left in the sun for more than 2 hours I get the same thing. 2011 Sonata SE Std. radio. If things don't improve by next week I'm taking it in because the GLS's have the same radio and I test drive those with customers every day with no problem.

Unfortunetly when I had the problem in my santa fe, the problem got worse pretty quickly. When I had the radio replaced the first time, they told me the replacement radios that hyundai uses are complete junk and are not brand new. I don't know if there is much truth to that, but like I said a cd did get stuck in the first replacement. I have had the second replacement for about 6 months now and no problems, yet.

I spoke with one of the tech at my dealership about this issue, he arged. Make sure you demand a NEW unit for your warranty repair otherwise you'll be right back in there. My problem hasn't been as bad recently so I have not taken it in yet however its been raining pretty consistantly so when we're hitting the 90's again with clear skies I'd imagine it would return.
