More curious than anything else. Does anyone still use these things, I remember several years ago they were all the rage, everyone I knew had one, I never bought into it myself.

Always wanted a radar "rector." LMAO (Yes, stupid cell phone auto spell) I just never pulled the trigger. Even if I was doing the posted limit, I would go crazy every time that thing chirped...for whatever reason. :eek:

Got anyone in your circle of friends that will loan you one for a tryout? "Rectors" seem intent on establishing a Love/Hate relationship with their owners. Some states (Virginia, for example) have banned any type of "rectors" from use or retail sale. "Rectors!" I love it!

{I seem to spend as much time editing and proofreading my posts as I do writing them!}

A few years back I had the top of the line escort passport model. Sometime they can be sensitive to things. Since I rarely went over the limit, or more than 5 over, I just quit using it.

I put it on my 2005 r1 with an ear piece as well. No, I didn't slow down on that, LOL.

I think in all practicality, the best thing to do (if you wanted this sort of thing), would be to get one of these. K40 Radar Detectors and Laser Jammers | K40 Electronics

Another thing with the k40, when it goes off, immediately slow down, leo can continue trying to hit you and possibly get a lock.

Make sure they are legal in your state. There is a video of youtube with it working as well.
