Symptoms: when I hit the brake hard, once in a while I can hear a ticking
sound from the brake and I can even feel the very faint vibration on
the brake pedal. It happens especially if I forget to engage the
hand/emergency brake over night. The ticking sound does not happen
everytime I drive.
My steering wheel has a slight vibration at miedium speed (15-35 mph).
Tires deform/out of round, pick it up and watch tire tread roll as it in the air..
But I think it is tire balance related, I was told that I have a bent rim on the front.
Balance come along at 55-65+ mph,, slow speed steering wheel wobble is tires or bent wheel as you indicate
Do you have any idea what is causing the brake to make the ticking sound?
Possible rust, lube the spots on the backing plate where shoes rest (drum brakes), verify shoe to drum adjustment..
