Hi,

My partner recently had the clutch replaced in her 2006 Hyundai Getz and the place we took it to said they weren't able to get the radio (Mp3-03) working again. I've got the card that came with the car that has the serial number and radio code on it but the number doesn't work. As we're the third owners of this car is there a chance that the code has been changed at some point? If so, is there anyway if doing say a factory reset on the radio to set it back to the original code?

Any help is greatly appreciated as my partner hates driving in silence lol :p

There is a fair chance the radio might have been replaced at some point and the new code was never noticed and/or supplied. Perhaps if you give your dealer's parts department the radio serial number, they can probably look it up. I feel you because I hate driving without music, too.

I'm also going to move this over to the Getz forum.

Thanks for the reply!

I don't think it's been replaced as I pulled it out enough to see the serial on top of it and while the last 4 numbers had been scratched away (most likely my fault as I was trying to use a screwdriver to get some leverage lol), the first four were the same as on the card supplied by Hyundai.

Any other ideas? I meant to give the Hyundai hotline a call this afternoon when I got home from work but just plain forgot to lol

Radio Code

Hi all,

Thanks for the tip. I drive a 2008 Getz with mp3-03.

I pressed Presets - 2,3,4,5 followed by "Power" button then Preset "6" and "5" and it worked.

I think Preset 6 and/or 5 are simply the "Enter" button.

It was a little trial and error process to figure what was going on. Entering 2345 followed by 5 simply changed 1CDE to 2CDE etc. I think this simply denotes 1st try, second try and third try. After that the headunit shuts down. I simply disconnected the battery, waited for one minute and reconnected it and the head unit will reboot and give another 3 trys.

Note - No need to remove head unit or add 1212 as suggested in other forums or website.

Hope the information helps.
