Just wanted to post something to keep people from going through what I did when replacing the stereo / radio / head unit. The stock premium stereo, or the one with the dual-DIN stock head unit for this car has a hidden amp in the right rear of the trunk, which won’t turn on unless the correct wire is activated by the head unit. There's no signal at all to the speakers if it's off. Also the speaker wires are different colors from the dash to the amp and the amp to the speakers. Once I got it done I was just so happy the nightmare was over that I didn't document the wire color codes, so sorry for that. I basically winged it using a multi-meter to test power and continuity. Hopefully someone here can elaborate, otherwise I would suggest paying for the install or getting your adapters from Crutchfield since they offer free support.
