O.K., here's the thing. Our 2003 Santa Fe was leaking power steering fluid from a ruptured high pressure hose. Took it to the dealer, who charged us $214.00 plus tax and $134.00 for labor to install the hose. They then tell us the power steering pump needs to be replaced. We were told that the Pressure switch inside the pump needed to be replaced and we would need to purchase the entire pump assembly for another $360.00. We find out that the mechanic broke a retaining cap that holds the pressure switch to the top of the pump. Is it possible to purchase the retaining cap that holds the pressure switch without buying the entire pump? If so, where can I find it? I have spent too much for the horrible service at the dealer and refuse to pay them one more cent.
