HELP!

So I just inherited a 2012 Sonata with 28,000 miles

The car is in great shape except that the power door lock on the front drivers side does not work.
The lock switch on the drivers door unlocks all the other locks except the drivers door, same with the remote.

I replaced the lock actuator - no change.
I replaced the switch - no change.
Finally I replaced the entire door's wiring harness - NO CHANGE!!!

What else could it be??? There's nothing left!

Please any help would be greatly appreciated.
Got to get this car fixed this week before my daughter takes it to college.

Thanks in advance for any help you offer,
Kevin

The BCM controls them. You need to scan it. Not with a cheap code reader but a professional scan tool and see what's going on with the BCM.

After scanning it will I know what the issue is or am I just testing to see if the BCM is faulty and needs replacing?

You need to have a scan tool and know how to use it.

Take it to a good repair facility.

Thanks grcauto!

I'll bring it to my guy.
Guess this in not a DIY repair.
Also read somewhere that it has to be programmed with the cars VIN
Not just a straight swap.

Thanks again,
Kevin

Yes, not for the novice and if the BCM needs to be replaced it will need to be programed.
