Hello,

Would anyone happen to know the pin diagram for a Hyundai wireless charging unit that sits in the center console on the newer models? i recently picked one up at a scrap yard off a totaled Kona. I have a 2016 Santa Fe sport so my plan currently was to add a jumper wire to the 12volt cigarette lighter port. I just need to figure out if I can just power it off a 12-volt connection or if I need a more complex set up. I know Hyundai of Korea has a website full of all wiring diagrams but I don't read Korean so it's not too particularly helpful.

Thanks!

Based on the diagrams I found for the Kona's wireless charger, it appears that the unit's MCU expects a CAN bus connection. The MCU also handles communication with the rest of the components in the charger. While I'm not certain of this, I would be surprised if the charger would function without the ability to speak back to the rest of the car. For reference, this is the pinout of the charger from a 2018 Kona:
