Hey guys, new to the forums but I have a 2002 Hyundai Elantra GT with 158k miles on the clock. I am the second owner of the car with the first being an older women. I purchased the car about a year ago with 145k miles. Ever since the car shakes badly when in Drive idling at a light. When I accelerate the shaking goes away. But when accelerating I feel as if it doesnt have much power. Also seems to have positive blow by when I remove the oil cap.
Symptoms I'm having
-Air coming from Oil Cap when idling
-Mildish bad gas mileage
-Shaking while idling
-A slight whistling sound in bay
-Abnormally excessive oil consumption
-NO check engine light
-When car turns on, Revs up to near 2,000RPMs
-No visible oil leaks
-No Colored gases coming from tail pipe
-when pushing the pedal to the floor, takes a near second to catch RPMs.

Things I've changed Related to problem. (all changed within a year ago)
-ValveCover and gasket
-Motor Mounts
-Spark Plugs
-Ignition Coil
-Spark Plug wires
-Tires
-Fuel Treatment (SeaFoam)
-Air Filter

Possibly a restricted exhaust. Listen for that whistle at the tail pipe.
Also the idling problem will likely be cured with a good throttle body cleaning.
Start with these.

If it were my car I'd be checking for vacuum leaks, also I think an IAC valve was used on that engine sometimes those need to be cleaned.
Yeah and check to make sure the PCV is working along with any other sources of vacuum leaks - including the brake booster.

Plugs, coils, wires usually manifest themselves with misfires and a CEL.
