I replaced the parking brake pads and springs on my 2013 Santa Fe but still not getting a lot of holding force. Better than before but I expected a dramatic improvement with new pads. I did tighten them 2x. Once on install then again after driving around and actuating them about 10 times.
It takes a bit of force to push the pedal all the way to the floor but holding power seems barely enough to be useful. Definitely not enough to hold with my 3500lb camper attached.
I can see the levers move at the rear hubs so I know the pads are being moved.
Is this just the way these are or should I expect cable adjustment to help?

Did you bleed the brakes?

If the parking brakes are adjusted correctly
Then would inspect the brake cable
Sometimes the outer brake shield on the cable breaks or falls off the holder
This will give the cable too much play and the cable will not be taut enough

Note that I did perform a break in procedure by operating the parking brake pedal several times while driving then adjusting again.
