I have a 2004 Santa Fe & have just bought a N420i radio/cd/dvd/sat nav to install. Everything works alright except the DVD as you need to put a wire from the radio to the switched side of the parking brake so you can only watch a DVD whilst staionary. Could somebody please tell me where to look for the switched live & also what colour it would be.

Many thanks in advance

I moved your post to the appropriate 1st Gen Santa Fe Forum.

If you remove the center console you will see a switch that tells the instrument cluster that the brake is engaged and to turn on the warning light. I've only had the console out once or twice so I can't recall exactly what color the wires are but they are easy to get to. Hopefully somebody will chime in with a wiring diagram answer to your question.

Verify in the units menu , the brake detect can usually be switched to off , this permits your passengers to enjoy movies while riding if your unit does not have 2-zone display.
