The check engine light of my 4 cylinder 2008 Sonata with 192k came on over the weekend. The code is P0011. The most likely cause is the oil control valve, so I wanted to remove it to check it out. I removed the wire connector and used an ohm meter which read 9.5 ohms. I saw somewhere that it should not be more than 7 ohms. I removed the oil temperature sensor but am having trouble with the T30 torx bolt holding in the oil control valve. The bolt is stripped. The power steering pump interferes with using a drill and screw extractor. Any ideas on how to remove without removing the power steering pump? Please see the attached photo of the location.

Can't tell for certain from just a picture, but either a flexible bit holder, or extra long bits should work, and perhaps both for this one.

Warm the bolt head with torch, and the aluminum there where bolt screws in to relieve the bind.

Hyundai with infinite wisdom put thread lock on bolt,, heat to release it,, then use std 6mm bolt as replacement. Around here, Hyundai oil pan bolt serves perfectly, snug is all, no super power torque
