Hi folks, I'm new to Hyundai and I'm really enjoying the ride :) the only problem with the car is that the outside temp is showing -40 degrees :eek: I live in Ireland which is cold but not -40 cold :confused: does anyone know how I can correct this :) the car is a 2006 Santa Fe crdi 4X4 2.2 diesel automatic' any help would be much appreciated, thank you :)

Hi John,

Is it constantly showing -40?
If so I suppose the outside sensor is broken or a wiring open circuit to it, like a loose connector.
It is located somewhere behind the front bumper, do not know exactly where.
It think it looks like a little bolt with wires attached.
When shortcircuited it should give a reading of a very high temperature.
You might ask some Hyundai dealer where it is located.
If your reading doesn't change when shorting the wires you should check the connection to the instrument itself within dash/console.
