Hi there,

Just one of the reversing sensors on my new 2007 Santa Fe (UK spec 2.2 CRTD CDX+) appears to not be working. When I stand in turn by each sensor they all do the expected beep/continuous tone, except the furthest one. I have found the control unit and checked that everything is correctly connected. I have also swapped over two of the sensor connectors and the problem remained at the same sensor, suggesting (if I have swapped over the correct ones, and if my understanding of how it works is correct) that it is a problem at the wiring/sensor end, and not the control unit itself.

Can you test an individual sensor in some way (e.g. with a continuity/voltage tester etc)?
Is there any common faults with them?

Any ideas where to start?

Tom.

Hi all,

No-one able to advise?

Having Googled about it appears that testing individual sensors is not so easy, but I cannot find any advice on how to do it, or if it is possible.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received. :)

Tom.
