I just bought this car, and although I can't find many faults with it, it does have this one problem that I am worried might be hint of bad things to come.

During a days outing driving around town and on the highway, the engine seems to turn off for less than a second, and then continues on without any error indication. I have been trying to figure out if it is related to what I am doing at the time and the only thing I can come up with is that maybe (not sure) it is occurring when I am slowly accelerating.

I need to get a code reader, but not had time as just have had car for about ten days. The nearest Hyundai dealer is 5 hours away.

Anyone have any experience with this kind of problem? Water in the fuel? Turbo? ECM? The only climate condition that might be related (?) is the high humidity rainy season here in Panama. It's not running hot.

Thank you,
Bob
